End Of January Update

I set a goal at the beginning of the month to exercise and lose weight. I have managed the exercise part but have not lost any weight. I'll try harder next month. I have been using ace bandages on my ankles and have noticed some improvement in the swelling. I can actually find my ankle bones now. I will continue the bandage routine to see if I can decrease the swelling even more. As for exercise, I have been increasing the difficulty level since mid-December. I stay in my target heart range even during the weight lifting part of my routine. I had a blood test a week ago and noticed that my blood pressure is down so the exercise is having a positive effect even without the weight loss.

Working Out

I went to the Y's gym this morning. I've been going 3 times per week. I have increased my routine to 10 minutes on the elipse machine, a round on the weight machines and 24 minutes on the exercise bike. I increased the bike level to 5 today. My feet continue to rebel. I am wrapping them in ace bandages, exercising and occasionally iceing them and taking asprin. I'll have to be more diligent on the ice and asprin.

Exercise Update

One week into my new year's diet and exercise plan. Weigh in is tomorrow but I appear to have lost 2 pounds. Today I went to the YMCA for my work out and between some floor exercises for strength and flexibility and some time on the exercise bike, spent an hour there. I also have purchase an ace bandage for each foot/ankle. I am hoping that a little compression, ice and elevation will assist in the relief of the tendonitis. Time to go do some of the elevation.
