End of May Update

I didn't go to the gym today. Our water pump in the well went bad. Spent the morning pulling the pump up out of the well and replacing it. Of course it was raining. Finally got it all back together by noon. Everything works but the well is stirred up. We're keeping the house water off till the well clears up. Should be fine by supper time. I'm still training for the ADA Tour de Cure bike ride. However, I'm not training hard enough. I still haven't gotten my bike out on the road. I'll have to work at it a little harder. I spoke to my daughter yesterday. Her diet and exercise program is being well executed and she's right where she wants to be. I guess I need a little more self discipline.

Happy Friday the 13th

Well, since we last spoke I've been exercising. Using the exercises recommended by the doctor my ankle has been getting stronger. Today, I went up into my small wood lot on a hillside and cut a small tree down. No ankle pain. (I'm using the sapling for a house project, it's not wasted even tho I felt bad about cutting it down.) The ankle still isn't 100% and I expect if I did any real hiking, I'd be in some considerable discomfort after a short time. So, I will continue to work it.
