End of September

Wow! It's already the end of September. Lots of stuff happened this month so I'm a little behind on posting. The big event was the 4H fun run, we called it the Clover Combo Classic. It went off with relatively few hitches on Saturday the 24th. I'm pretty impressed with the team given our lack of experience in fun runs.

I continue to slooooowwwlllllyyyy lose weight. This is primarily because I still take more calaries in than I use. I have been making a concerted effort to track daily intake and the trend is definitely downward. I have also been working on increasing the activity level each day and that trend is positively upward. Eventually, the weight comes off. So far since June, I've lost about 13 pounds. I continue to hope my feet become better. Perhaps some hiking in the spring.

Visit to Arizona

We went to visit my brother-in-law Pat and his wife Betty on Sept 1st. My daughter Elizabeth and her husband Chad also came. We had a great time and did a little hiking and site seeing. We were in Pine AZ, in the Tonto National Forest. Saw an ancient (about 1000AD) indian village ruin. We also saw a natural bridge. That was pretty awesome. I love the area there, cooler than Phoenix but still warm, about 85 degrees in the daytime. We thought about moving but the property prices are so high that I'd have to get a job to afford it. Ummm, let me think, NO! So, we've come home and are proceeding with some home improvements. We were gone a week, came home on Sep 7th. I didn't gain any weight. So, I'm still on track with my diet and exercise program.
